Kathmandu. The last rites of senior artist Sunil Thapa have been performed at Pashupati Aryaghat.
Thapa’s last rites were performed at Pashupati Aryaghat in the presence of a large number of people from the film industry and the general public. His body was draped with the national flag and given a final farewell.
Earlier on Sunday, his body was kept at the Film Development Board for the last rites. A large number of artists and the general public attended and paid their last respects to him. They had come to Kathmandu because their family was living in Mumbai.
Thapa passed away on Saturday at the age of 68 at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali. Thapa is survived by his wife, a son, and a daughter.
