Mumbai. Indian actor Annu Kapoor has defended his controversial remarks regarding actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s appearance. He faced significant backlash on social media after using the term ‘dudhiya badan’ (milky body) while praising her beauty in the popular song ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ from the film ‘Stree 2’.

Following the public outcry, the 71-year-old actor has now broken his silence. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Annu stated that his intention was to praise her, not to insult anyone.

He complained about double standards, noting that while people take offense to the term ‘dudhiya badan’ in Nepali and Hindi, the same sentiment expressed as ‘milky body’ in English would not be considered offensive. He also claimed that he holds no ill intentions, noting that Tamannaah is the age of his daughter.

Annu Kapoor further clarified that if Tamannaah were to ask him about it, he would stand by his words. However, he added that if his words have hurt the actress, he would not hesitate to apologize. He said, ‘If Tamannaah felt bad about my words, I am even ready to touch her feet. What would she say if a 71-year-old man touches her feet? I know my truth and my intentions are pure.’
