Kathmandu. Hollywood actor Willem Dafoe has extended his best wishes to the play ‘Grand Rehearsal’, which is being prepared for staging at Mandala Theatre in Thapagaun. In a video message, he expressed his happiness that the play, which he had previously watched in America, is being staged in Nepal and urged the audience to watch it.
Willem visited Nepal last year. In his message, he mentioned that he had filmed ‘Tenzing’, a movie based on the life of Everest climber Tenzing Norgay, and stated that he would watch the film in theaters. He also expressed his joy at coming to Kathmandu for the film’s shooting.
The play, which begins on April 24, will run until May 17. Directed by Umesh Tamang, this is a satirical play. Produced by Buddhi Tamang, the play has been translated by Anup Neupane and Umesh Tamang.
The play will feature performances by Anup Neupane, Milan Karki, Sudeep Khatiwada, Ruja Raut, Raksha Thapa, Santosh Giri, Amir Tamrakar, Sujan Ghimire, Shrishesh Shrestha, Bal Bahadur Rai, and Rajababu Karki.
