Kathmandu. Roshni Karki and Usha Rajak, two actresses who starred in ‘Lalima’, which will be released on Falgun 29, have shared their different experience working on it compared to their previous films.
Actress Roshni Karki has played the lead role for the first time in ‘Lalima’. This is a special and different experience in her career. Moreover, the title of the film is named after her character. Roshni has said that she accepted the offer of the lead role from both the perspectives of opportunity and challenge.
She says, “I felt challenged when I was offered the lead role. I was also afraid of whether I would be able to carry the film on my shoulders.” She said that she personally practiced something new to create the character ‘Lalima’ in this film.
Similarly, actress Usha Rajak plays the role of ‘Aama’ in this film. This character’s physical characteristic is a disability (not being able to speak). She had previously played a character with disabilities, like in ‘Lalima’. However, the first decision she made in her more than two-decade-long acting career was to play the role of a mother.
Usually seen in the role of bold and beautiful actresses, this time she is seen in the role of a mother. Regarding this, Usha says, “I received feedback on social media saying, ‘Now do a character according to your age.’ I have appeared in the role of a mother by considering that feedback or suggestion from the audience.”
Along with these two heroines, Jeevan Bhattarai is the hero in Lalima. Along with them, Sushma Niraula, Ghanshyam Joshi, Sabin Kattel and Shishir Wangdel are playing the lead roles in the film. The trailer of this film, written and directed by Roshan Miraj, is currently trending on YouTube.
Reena Lama is the executive producer of this film, presented by Faith Astha.
