Nepali Film ‘Bigul’ Screening Halted Amid Sensitive Election Period

Kathmandu. The screening of the film ‘Bigul,’ which began showing last Friday, has been postponed. The production company, Magnolia Group Pvt. Ltd., issued a statement on Tuesday announcing the decision to halt the film’s exhibition until further notice.

‘This decision has been made after evaluating the situation and considering suggestions from relevant bodies, keeping in mind the sensitive state of the elections,’ the statement further read. ‘A new release date will be announced soon.’ The production unit extended its sincere thanks to all the general audience members, artists, technicians, journalists, and guests who came to watch the film directly, apologizing for any inconvenience caused.

The film is directed by Ramesh Koirala, who is also a Congress leader. The film stars Benisha Hamal and Naren Khadka in the lead roles.
