Kathmandu. The film ‘Pahad’, directed by Tulsi Ghimire, has successfully grossed over 4.6 million in five days. According to the box office report released by the Film Development Board on Monday, the film managed to collect a gross of 4,676,627 by Saturday.

Released on Baishakh 1 to coincide with the New Year, the film depicts the social and economic problems caused by the emptying of hills as the youth population migrates abroad.

Produced under the banner of Bhagya Ratna Films Pvt. Ltd., the film features performances by Bipin Karki, Sunil Thapa, Madan Krishna Shrestha, Renunath Yogi, Arun Chhetri, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Panchami Ghimire, and Salona Bajracharya.
