Actress Keki Adhikari signed on for ‘Maharajdhiraj’

Kathmandu. Actress Keki Adhikari has joined the cast of the film ‘Maharajadhiraj’ as the ‘Maharani’. Keki, who announced her own film ‘Station’ three days ago, has now signed on for ‘Maharajadhiraj’.

‘Welcome to the Maharajadhiraj or Maharani. I am truly grateful for your presence and encouragement,’ said Biraj Bista, the presenter of ‘Maharajadhiraj’.

Just a few days ago, Pushpa Khadka was signed for the lead role in the film. The production team announced his casting and released a poster on the occasion of the New Year.

Ending the long-standing curiosity about who would play the role of the King in ‘Maharajadhiraj’, the production team revealed Pushpa’s name and the poster.

Director Parichhed Sen has assembled a strong lineup for the film, which is scheduled to begin shooting after the second week of Baisakh. The film, directed by Parichhed Sen, features actors including Pushpa, Nir Shah, Aryan Sigdel, Ramesh Upreti, Keki Adhikari, Barsha Raut, Usha Rajak, Hiumbala Gautam, Jaykishan Basnet, Shishir Bhandari, Gajit Bista, and Asha Paudel.

‘Maharajadhiraj’, a dream project for director Sen, will feature 80 other actors. The team has signed a star-studded cast to showcase a blend of old and new generation artists.

Presenter Biraj Bista clarified that the film will be as strong as its cast lineup.

The shooting of the film will begin from Sri Lanka Tapu in Sunsari. Subsequently, it will be filmed in various historical and beautiful locations in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Kirtipur. Nabaraj Thapa will handle the cinematography.

Produced under the banner of Chhatreshwor Management Pvt. Ltd., the film is written by director Sen himself. The producers of the film are Rabi Khadka, Shivraj Paudel, and Topendra Bista. The production team has stated that ‘Maharajadhiraj’ is scheduled for release this coming Phulpati.
