KATHMANDU- A fashion and interior designing college has come into operation in Koteshwor. The team, including Suknita Chaulagain, who has been working in the field of fashion designing for about a decade, has launched the ‘Valentino International College of Fashion and Interiors’ college.
Director Suknita Chaulagain said that the college was launched with the aim of providing professional knowledge and skills to young people who want to pursue careers in fashion and interior design. According to him, a one-year diploma course has been prepared for this.
The owner, Chaulagain, said, “I also have a decade of experience in fashion design. There are few colleges in Nepal that offer practical fashion and interior design courses. The one-year course we have launched will help youth fulfill their dreams without affecting their academic studies.’
She also said that the aim is to fulfill the dreams of the youth. Separate courses have been prepared including fashion designing, boutique management, draping and stitching, and styling. For that, it is said that excellent teachers and designers will conduct theoretical as well as practical classes.
Chaulagain said that students who study this course can pursue careers as fashion designers, boutique owners, stylists, and pattern makers.
She said, “Nowadays, the fashion sense among Nepalis has increased a lot. It seems that not only celebrities, but also leaders and ordinary people have an increased desire to look good and smart.” He believes that this shows that careers in the fashion designing field are broad.
