Kathmandu, 10 Saun. At 7:00 pm every Wednesday, ABC television broadcasts a program titled “Inclusive Issue” (Samabeshi Sawal). The show brings exclusive deliberations on the issues of indigenous nationalities.
The program presenter is Milan Limbu. For the last six years, Milan Limbu has been questioning veterans of indigenous issues every week on television screen. Through this program, Milan Limbu has become popular among both the indigenous and non-indigenous viewers. There is happy news that lately Milan Limbu has appeared as an actor among the Nepali viewers.
Milan Limbu, who is usually busy with the matters related to television journalism and all, has played in more than half-a-dozen music videos as an actor. He has appeared as model in a couple of music videos of both Nepali and Limbu languages.
He has acted in a song “Antu Bata Jhulkyo gham” by a popular singer Milan Amatya, “Baishakhe Trisahali” by Raju Angdembe and “Raakhnu hai bahini” by Sanjaya Tumrok and friends. Similarly, he has acted in the music video filmed in the song “Tutugen Tumyahangse” by Rukman Limbu, “Seplang la Pokhe” titled song by Sangita Angbuhang and “Sisadin” titled song by Deshu Suhang and Yadan Sherma of Limbu language.
Milan Limbu, who has earned a separate identity in the journalism and television media, regards journalism as his passion while acting is a mater of interest for him. He has also received a special training on acting with a veteran theater director Anup Baral from Actors’ Studio Nepal. About 3 to 5 hours a day for three months, he has studied acting course and now says that he has a little knowledge about acting.
He opens his secret wish that he wants to act in feature movie sparing a little time out of busy schedule of journalism if the time favors in future, however, he will not give up journalism, he says.
