Kathmandu. The shooting of the film ‘Maya Bhanayakai Yasto Hola’ directed by actress Rekha Thapa has begun. The production of this film, which was announced on the occasion of Mahashivaratri on Falgun 3, began on Monday at the Royal Tulip National Park in Shivapuri, Kathmandu.

Rekha Thapa, who has directed successful films like ‘Himmatwali’ and ‘Malika’, is returning to directing after almost eight years. Rekha will be seen in a different identity in this film, this time she will not be in front of the camera but will be fully focused on directing.

This time, Rekha is working outside her own banner Rekha Films and under the banner of ‘Diya and Amu Films’. The film stars veteran actor Madan Krishna Shrestha and actor Dil Shrestha, who is returning to films after a long time, in the lead roles. Another major attraction of this film is the presence of three former Miss Nepals. Shristi Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha, and former Miss Nepal International Niti Shah are playing the lead roles in this film.

Written by Dhruv Lamsal, the film will attempt to find the true definition of love. Writer Lamsal is also returning to writing for cinema after about a decade. The film is being handled by Sudeep Baral (DOP) and Aniruddha Atreya is the chief assistant director. The production team is aiming to release this film on the occasion of Teej next year.
