Kathmandu. Diwakar Bhandari, director and actor of the popular comedy television series ‘Meri Basyai’, has been busy as a judge in various programs.

Director Bhandari, who is also the writer of ‘Meri Basyai’, recently played the role of a judge at the ‘Murchunga Music Awards’ held in Kathmandu. The awards, organized for the first time, were distributed in 30 different categories of Nepali songs and music.

More than 40 artists were honored at the awards program hosted by veteran singer Mira Rana.

Director Bhandari, popularly known as ‘Sapati Kaka’, said after playing the role of the chief judge of the ‘Murchunga Music Awards’, ‘Becoming an artist, you have to play all kinds of roles. However, it is a bit more difficult to be a judge for other artists than acting and directing.’ He also said that there is a difference between acting and being a judge.
