Kathmandu. Senior artist Sunil Thapa has passed away. He died of a heart attack this morning at Norvic Hospital in Thapathali, informed Mohan Niraula, President of the Artists Association.

Thapa, who lives in an apartment in Shankhamul, was active in the Nepali and Indian film industries for a long time. Thapa, who was successful in bringing the role of villains to the forefront and respect in Nepali films, was famous as ‘Rate Kainla’.
Other members of his family live in Mumbai, India.
