KATHMANDU- Veteran actor Neer Shah stated that films like ‘Bigul,’ which depict the reality of the present time, are rarely made. Speaking at a press conference organized by the production unit in the capital, Shah expressed his pride in being a part of the film. He mentioned that ‘Bigul’ tells a story that must be told to the common Nepali people and emphasized the need to focus more on producing such films.
At the event, director Ramesh Koirala shared his view that ‘Bigul’ is the story of the common man and closely aligns with the current political landscape, making it a must-watch for every citizen. He claimed that the film incorporates a message that will instill greater love for the country and soil in the general Nepali audience, alongside full entertainment.
Actress Benisha Hamal stated that she plays a very challenging role in ‘Bigul,’ describing it as a patriotic film slightly different from those being released recently. She opined that every Nepali should watch ‘Bigul.’
Actor Naren Khadka revealed that he portrays the role of the youth power in ‘Bigul’ and expressed confidence that all those conscious and aware of their country will like the film. He mentioned that before acting in ‘Bigul,’ he closely observed the lifestyles and mannerisms of some young leaders.
Producer Koirala stated that ‘Bigul’ presents a narrative representing the suppressed voices of Nepali society, the common people living under injustice, the anxiety of the younger generation worried about the future, and the consciousness of struggling women.
Nepal Jaycees will also support the promotion of the film, which is set for a nationwide release starting from Falgun 1. An agreement was reached between ‘Bigul’ producer Dinesh Koirala and Nepal Jaycees National President Jeevan Karki regarding this matter at the press conference.
The film, presented by Kalpana Paudel under the banner of Magnolia Group, features performances by Benisha Hamal, Naren Khadka, Neer Shah, Ramesh Budhathoki, Hemant Budhathoki, Saroj Khanal, Binod Neupane, Rabindra Khadka, Shishir Bangdel, Geeta Adhikari, JN Ghimire, Manushi Sharma, and new actress Mira Pandit, among others. The film will be distributed by Qafiya Films within the capital and by Bankets Entertainment in the districts.
